Job Description



The e-commerce Director yoox.com in Japan will be responsible to further accelerate the growth of yoox.com in the Japanese market, in coordination with the Country Manager through overseeing all customer touch points in Japan from both a retail and marketing perspective. You’ll harness your creativity, business and marketing acumen to accomplish your goal: spread the word about yoox.com to an increasing audience and ultimately convert them into loyal customers. 


 


Main responsibilities


The candidate will be in charge of the following responsibilities:


  • develop and execute comprehensive business plan merging marketing and sales strategies to drive growth and market share in the Japanese market

  • devise creative ways of promoting yoox.com through co-marketing, branding partnerships, guerrilla and viral marketing

  • manage and develop the Web Marketing team and optimization of budgets – maximizing ROI on any activity undertaken

  • ideate and localize CRM strategies and oversee their execution integrating Social, Communication and Customer Care teams

  • manage a retail and merchandising team responsible for merchandising, pricing and execution of an effective marketing/commercial calendar

  • proactively work with both local and HQ teams to share best practices and efficiently use common resources


Required Skills



The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in Marketing and Retail, preferably in the fashion or lifestyle, multi-brand sector. He or she has:


  • a strong e-commerce experience mainly focused on Retail Marketing

  • a proven track record of successfully growing a business

  • the ability to work independently in a complex, multicultural and changing environment

  • outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

  • the leadership skills needed for a dynamic team

  • a network of existing contacts in the fashion, media and luxury sectors

  • the ability to combine big picture thinking with detail orientation
