- Delivering all projects on time and within budget in accordance with internal requirements
- Ensuring high quality localization documents as output
- Working with internal translator as well as outside venders to ensure the same level of quality, accuracy and standard
- Standardizing, proofreading, revising and finalizing translated material prepared by other employees and contractors as necessarily
- Preparing proposals and quotations
- Tracking and controlling of all costs & time schedule throughout the entire lifecycle of a project
- Troubleshooting and helping to set standards and processes and continually making recommendations to improve process and maximize efficiencies where possible
- Central handling of queries and support requests
- Capacity planning for internal & external resources
- Interacting with language partners and in-house teams
- Running project kick-offs, providing regular status reporting, and post-project analysis initiatives
- Create writing instructions, reference and maintenance manuals for the translation service team.
- Prepare project proposals, training materials, technical reports, online documentation and help systems for assigned projects.
- Provide training to employees and contractors for a proper style of English software localization.
- 3+ years of project management experience
- Fluency in both Japanese and English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem solver with excellent planning and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to details and service skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment
- Excellent financial awareness, enthusiastic and hard working
- Knowledge of standard CAT package (Trados, SDLX, Catalyst etc)
- Knowledge of biology, molecular biology or any scientific field is a plus
