Job Description

• Act as a Business Compliance Officer and provide guidance to the department on queries related to compliance issues


• Review and monitor changes by local regulator/s, develop compliance framework and implement compliance policies and processes in Business


• Take proper and timely action against any violation of laws, regulations or rules in accordance with internal procedures


• Disseminate compliance materials and coordinate/deliver training to promote awareness on compliance related matters


• Coordinate internal and external compliance audits and follow up on implementation of the recommendations raised by auditors


• Assisting account officers and back office in relation to all inquiries related to AML / KYC


• Maintain the operation of the KYC database to ensure the integrity of data


• Management of self-inspection, various head offices’ reporting and any ad-hoc project assigned by the Head of Department


• Provide coaching and support to team members

Required Skills

• Degree holder, with at least 8 years of relevant work experience in Banking & Finance industry


• Familiar with working in a corporate banking lending activities environment


• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word


• Meticulous with a good eye for details


• Good communication skills and team player


• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Japanese to liaise with Japanese counterparts
