Qualifications: Applicants must have cash handling experience which required the direct handling of cash and preparation of cash reconciliation report (beginning balance, amounts received and disbursed, numbers and types of transactions, ending balance). Must also have experience which required skill in making basic mathematical computations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) quickly and accurately and with attention to detail. Must have good command of the English language to include speaking, reading and writing. Must have a friendly and outgoing personality. Must meet squadron dress and grooming standards. Must be able to work an irregular tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) as a condition of employment.
Performance Standards: Incumbents are expected to: Show initiative; use time effectively; exert extra effort during busy periods; be reliable, trustworthy, and cooperative; maintain good working relationships with management and staff; abide by EEO guidelines; comply with squadron dress standards; produce quality work in a thorough, accurate, and timely manner and demonstrate a satisfactory level of technical competence. In addition, incumbents must follow established procedures for cash handling and cash accountability consistently and precisely; complete reports carefully to minimize errors; provide quality customer service using the SMILE promise; be responsive to customer requests and inquiries; furnish customers with complete and accurate information; and deal with difficult customers in a courteous and professional manner. Incumbents must monitor cashier operations vigilantly and report any suspicious activity to supervisor immediately.
Performance Standards: New Employee Orientation, Customer Service, Fire Prevention, Safety, Resource Protection, Security, Internal Control Procedures, and other training as required.
All employment is contingent upon a successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and all other required background checks.

What happens to Military Spouse (MSP) and Family Member (FMP) preference?

– Regular/Flexible Position: Family Member Preference (FMP) is lost upon acceptance or refusal of a flexible or regular category position in the Federal Service (APF/NAF) for which the family member has registered or applied for employment, whether or not preference was applied, per AFMAN 34-310.
– Flexible Position: Flexible Category Position: If you qualify for Military Spouse Preference (MSP) you will not lose MSP, However, if you qualify for Family Member Preference (FMP) you will lose your preference.
