Description


The incumbent is responsible for leading efforts regarding HR strategy development & execution, organization planning, development, performance management, talent acquisition, associate relations, compensation and the execution of special programs. All tasks should be in alignment with the company’s strategy and core HR priorities and programs and be designed to achieve maximum effectiveness and success.


The incumbent is also responsible, in partnership with the global & regional HR leaders, for the development, modification, coordination and implementation of policies covering employment, associate relations, compensation & benefit management, safety, health, associate services, communication, employer branding etc.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Key priorities include:
Work closely with business leaders to drive HR strategies and initiative to meet business requirements. Understand the existing HR and people landscape, analyze gaps, develop and implement appropriate HR programs to bridge gaps.


Partner with the leadership to champion the company’s vision, mission, business values and culture.


Advise management as a strategic business partner, be an effective change agent to roll out organizational change programs.


Develop and implement HR programs that touches the entire employment life cycle in the organization – talent acquisition, performance management, learning & development, career and succession planning as well as talent retention.


Leads in developing best practices and implementing policies and processes as applicable. Develops programs, policies and procedures to meet key HR metrics (recruitment, development, retention, etc.)


Conducts research into HR programs, policies and employment law and recommend strategies, changes or innovations where appropriate.


In partnership with the Global Talent Management function, regionally leads key talent and management development including consulting with the organization’s leaders regarding team development and personal/ professional development of associates. Provide leadership in the development of a sustainable high performance/high commitment workforce.


Drives and manages internal communications regarding regional activities, HR programs, and organizational changes ensuring the workforce is informed and engaged.


Ensures compliance with employment-related laws. Represent, or aid in the representation of, the Company on related litigation.


Execute appropriate compensation & benefit programs while ensuring competitive rates of pay and competitive benefits. Involved in the design of compensation, incentive and bonus programs to attract and retain talents while at the same time, motive talents to help achieve company’s business goals.


Qualifications


The ideal candidate should be both a strategic thinker and operationally hands-on person – able to see the “big picture” while maintaining attention to details. He/ she should also be a strong intellect, with an organized, analytical approach. Should have strong leadership skills and the ability of a change agent – strong analytical skills with a mature business outlook. A strong focus on partnership with the HR global team, his/her functional peers and the business leaders is essential.


REQUIREMENTS


Experience:
Seasoned HR executive with a minimum of 15 years of HR generalist experience


with proven track record.


At least 8 years of management experience.


Prior experience in working for multinational companies.


Previous experience in the Life Science industry will be an advantage.


Proven track record in building organisational capability – attracting, developing and retaining talent.


Proven track record in organization development & change management

Self-starter who can “roll-up his/her sleeves” and “hands-on” to deliver result and possess good business acumen.


Strong communications and interpersonal skills. The candidate sought must be highly energetic, creative and flexible.


Must possess skills with regards to facilitation, conflict management, counselling/coaching, recruitment and interviewing, compensation, training, problem solving, organization design, change management and personnel administration.


Must possess excellent persuasion and leadership skills in order to gain consensus regarding organizational strategy and policy that will inevitably involve continuous change and improvement.


Possess strong leadership and motivational skills. Able to manage and influence the team to drive the HR functions.


Ability to effectively interface with corporate management and work well


within a highly matrix organization/ management.


Strong organizational, analytical and management skills. Possess strong project management skills.


A team player with strong consulting skills


Very accustomed to the American corporate culture.
