Job Description

Controller / Accounting Manager will focus on all finance and accounting operations in Japan including financial reporting, control over income tax declarations, and help the company to review and develop effective operating procedures.

Some of the challenges this role would face:

• Standardization of accounting process: review current existing accounting processes in Japan and improve it to match best business strategy.


• SAP implementation project: play instrumental role in leading system roll out for Finance Function.


• Review and simplified monthly closing process to make it more efficient

Other responsibilities include:

• Finance and accounting operation in Japan Generate financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) complies with US GAAP / Commercial Law


• Controllership activities related to income tax declaration in Japan


• Develop work processes for effective and controlled operating procedures


• Generate financial report for submission to global HQ, and other regulatory reports as required


• Support periodical auditing activities of external auditors /tax offices

Required Skills

• Strong English skills to communicate with counterparts in overseas


• Solid experience in finance and accounting operations including financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually) in compliance with US GAAP


• Certification in JCPA / Japanese CPA is highly regarded


• Strong experience in corporate taxation and auditing activities


• Sound analytical and decision making skills
