- Maintain up-to-date billing systems and processes; manage billings, price adjustment, rebates and ensure accuracy of revenue recognition in accordance to local GAAP and US GAAP.
- Resolve payment discrepancies and billings disputes / queries.
- In-charge of AR closing; prepare journal entries to record accruals for credit, revenue accrual and adjustments.
- Generate AR Aging analysis, review relevant provisions.
- Prepare monthly AR related balance sheet schedules, reports, scorecards
- Perform monthly /quarterly / yearly Internal control activity document testing – Sarbanes Oxley
- Liaise with external/internal auditors/internal users/banks etc.
- Develop/enhance internal controls, policies, processes and procedures and ensure that they are properly scoped and enforced and are effective and efficient.
- Involve in projects/system enhancement and any other ad hoc duties as and when assigned.
- Follow up for collection of past due invoices by customer contact.
- Work with internal and external customers to resolve short payments, disputes, declinations and deductions.
- To process statement of accounts to customers on a timely basis, execute collection activities and reconcile accounts with customer record.
- Requires a Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Accountancy.
- 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Looking for a highly motivated and competent individual with good inter-personal and communication skills. Someone who is positive and a good team player.
- Possess good problem-solving abilities, with lots of initiative and drive, a strong sense of internal control and a keen eye for details and process improvements.
- Oracle system experience and Finance SSC experience would be strong pluses.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be effectively in English and Japanese.
