The successful candidates:
- will be native speakers of English
- have a Cambridge CELTA, DELTA, and/or an ELT-related M.A. or similar internationally recognized ELT qualification.
- have a minimum 2 years' ELT experience.

Preference will be given to teachers who have:
- experience of teaching English for Business and/or ESP courses.
Suitably-qualified applicants only will be considered.

TESL Canada has decided to allow free access to its scholarly journal as of the latest issue -- which includes articles on pronunciation, pre-reading strategies and the effects of social media on language teaching.

Russell Willis will be discussing issues in the design of extensive reading materials for iPhone and iPad at the Extensive Reading World Congress in Kyoto (September 3~6). The ELT News editor, in his day job as president of software development and publishing company iEnglish.com, will talk about his experience designing the soon-to-be released Oxford Bookworms apps.

Tokyo University will launch its first undergraduate degree programs taught entirely in English in October 2012, offering two degree courses -- Japan studies and environmental sciences -- at its College of Arts and Sciences. Todai president Junichi Hamada wants to make the university an international place of learning where talented students from across the world come to study.
