Online Marketing Opportunity – 3 month internship with the opportunity to continue thereafter.
The Motion Global Shanghai office is seeking a native Japanese candidate (or fluent Japanese speaker) to assist in expanding our market presence in Japan. The marketing department is growing rapidly and we are looking for a strong candidate interested in gaining comprehensive online marketing experience and working in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will assist us in improving and further developing successful online campaigns for our Japanese website (www.smartbuyglasses.jp). Furthermore you will get the chance to work in a fast-paced international company that is exciting and challenging with the ability to fast track your career development through unique growth opportunities and rapid promotion into various full time online marketing roles.
The successful candidate will work closely with marketing management and other marketing team members as well as our internal operational teams including IT, Web Design, E-Marketing and Customer Service. The focus for this internship will be on online marketing and as the primary point of contact for the websites, you will be conducting market research as well as developing/carrying out an action plan for our marketing campaigns including translation and content writing, SEO activities, affiliate marketing, comparison shopping, and all other on-page and off-page online marketing activities. Motion Global offers extensive training across all these activities for all successful candidates.
The right candidate will have at least a basic understanding of SEO, online Marketing, on-page and off-page online marketing. Any experience working in an online marketing/SEO capacity or marketing role will be an advantage.
The marketing department at Motion Global offers the opportunity for the right candidate to have their career fast-tracked with the opportunity to be promoted to a full time position and then further promoted within a short space of time (6-12 months). Only those with an astute mind and the desire to make a difference and aggressively bring about strong results will be considered.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- You will directly report to a marketing coordinator on a daily basis on tasks and updates.
- You will work to improve and localize web content for Japan, a task that includes translation and content writing.
- Conducting e-market research and market planning.
- You will optimize and further develop our comparison shopping, affiliate marketing and google adwords (CPC) campaigns in Japan and will communicate with our partners on a daily basis in Japan.
- You will become an expert in developing Search Engine Optimization (“SEO”) techniques, specifically in link-building as well as other SEM activities.
Skills & Requirements
- Native Japanese Speaker and writer, with the ability to communicate in spoken and written language with colleagues in English.
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Strong interest in trending analysis
- Ability to work independently with a positive “can do” attitude
- Ability to self-prioritize work streams and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Computer literate with an excellent understanding of MS Office
- Highly self-motivated
- Online marketing experience is a plus
- Some online marketing background in SEO, SEM, CPC and/or CPA based activities is a plus
