In-House Corporate English Trainer

Phoenix Associates is currently looking to fill two positions teaching corporate English to one client in Central Tokyo. The positions will be for one client and for a period of six months.

This assignments are client-focussed and therefore the successful applicant will be flexible and willing to adapt to meet changing client demands.

Report writing is a major part of this position so competency in this skill is required.

We are looking to begin in the first week of October. The teaching schedules are due to be set in the middle of September but will either be the same as follows or a slight variation of them:

Trainer One:

Mon, Tue & Thu 08:00-09:30
Mon, Tue & Thu 19:30-21:00
Every Saturday 10:00-17:00

Trainer Two:

Mon-Wed 08:00-09:30
Mon-Wed 19:30-21:00
Every Sunday 10:00-17:00

Their unique product is an implant and surgical solution focused on the refractive surgery market and offers a unique solution to the issue of Presbyopia bought on by increasing patient age. Their customer base includes leading eye-clinics in key markets and they are constantly expanding the number of eye-health professionals who are keen to use their technology to bring benefits to patients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provision of in-clinic support and training to Surgeons – provide in-depth product knowledge, identify training/educational needs, relevant clinical study data
• Clinical outcome analysis and recommendations.
• Be the ‘go-to’ person within the region for all customer related product and procedure enquires
• On-going evaluation of surgical techniques for all product procedures.
• Review, analyse, and interpret data, and draw conclusions for planning further commercial activities or necessary modifications; monitor outcomes.
• Provide evaluations for pre-op, post-op and other patient exams at commercial sites as necessary. Assist practices in patient selection and patient management.
• To be the liaison between the organisation and clinics across Japan

SKILLS / PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Medical degree in Ophthalmology
• Ideally experience within refractive surgery but training will be provided
• Interest in working for a commercial organisation providing training to Ophthalmology Surgeons.
• Experienced in patient / clinical data analysis

Peak is looking for professional and competent business English trainers for evening, and possibly morning, classes in and around the Tokyo area.

In the first instance we have the following definite vacancies:
Mondays 17:00-18:30 starting from August 6th
Tuesdays 17:00-18:30 starting from August 7th
