Food Security and Livelihoods Technical Advisor

At present, the major focus of our FSL work is humanitarian, to address the ongoing hunger crisis in South Sudan. The FSL Advisor is expected to work collaboratively to develop high quality FSL proposals that meet the needs of targeted beneficiary populations, provide technical advice and support to project staff to ensure programming objectives are successfully achieved. He/she shall also contribute to achieving high programme quality through evidence based work, and/or leading new research around FSL (including cash transfer) programming. The FSL Advisor must be willing to embrace a child rights programming approach and represent Save the Children in national forums and working groups.Development professional with a relevant Masters' Degree or equivalent professional experience. Job Description:

The International Health and Development Division of ICF Macro (formerly Macro International Inc.) seeks a Technical Advisor Health Information Systems (HIS) to join our team. The HIS Technical Advisor will work on the portfolio of public health related M&E activities under USAID's technical assistance (TA) project for global health programs.

The portfolio focuses primarily on the monitoring and evaluation of programs directed at improving quality, availability and use of essential health services.

He/She will assist in providing technical inputs and oversight to the integration and use of data management information systems and tools to facilitate data entry, transmission and use.

Key function of this position will be capacity building among information systems users at the national, county, district and community levels of government and health facility personnel.

The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Specific responsibilities include:

Provide HIS technical inputs and oversight to systems requirements, analysis, design, specifications, piloting and testing, implementation and evaluationProvide technical inputs and oversight in the integration and use of data management information into one unified integrated systemProvide technical, management and leadership oversight to USG partners PEPFAR reportingWork with Kenya MOH and all stakeholders to identify data collection and reporting requirements for strengthening and integration of a Community Health Information SystemProvide technical support to the Kenya MOH in developing standards, processes, systems and toots for ensuring the quality of routine health informationProvide information on the status and progress of program activities and disseminate information and public reporting results, per client instructions, to interested partiesManage client and stakeholder relationshipsContribute technical expertise to other projects as neededAdvanced University degree (PhD or MD, MPH or MPH) and experience in health informatics, computer science or social science field (international health, biostatistics, and epidemiology).10 years professional experience working in health information systems (health information strategy and policy, epidemiology, monitoring and evaluation.Demonstrated experience and understanding of health information systems, design, development, roll out and/ or useDemonstrated experience in organizational capacity building, collaboration with governments and non governmental entitiesExcellent English oral ad written communication skillsAbility to work in a team environment with people of diverse backgroundsICF offers an excellent benefits package, an award winning talent development program, and fosters a highly skilled, energized and empowered workforce.
