Part-Time English Instructors for GEOS Corporation
We are hiring for part-time positions in Tokyo, Kanagawa and Chiba areas. We do have other openings across Japan, so we do welcome all applicants. We are looking for teachers who are able to start as soon as possible.
First of all, GEOS for Children offers enthusiastic and caring individuals a memorable and rewarding adventure. Since we take care of small children from the age of 1 year through 15 years of age, candidates who are mature, professional and passionate with kids are welcome! You will prepare and teach lessons which consist of singing songs, playing games and making sure that the children have fun learning English.
A shift in a GEOS for Children school generally starts at 3 pm during the weekdays or 10 am on Saturdays and may finish at 9 pm at the latest depending on the schedule.
Second, Candidates who are professional, service-oriented, positive, outgoing, flexible, and want to teach people of all ages and walks of life will enjoy the GEOS AND NOVA system. GEOS AND NOVA has its own curriculum and textbooks. We offer a range of study programs for our students. A schedule at one of our schools could involve teaching kids as well as test and business classes. Training will be provided for teachers as they take on the various lesson types **Experience teaching adults is considered an asset.
A shift in a GEOS and NOVA schools starts at 10 am at the earliest and finish at 9 pm at the latest depending on the schedule. We are mainly looking for candidates who are interested in working on Saturdays and Sundays. However, please do not hesitate to ask whether other schedules are available.
Requirements:
Must be a Native English speaker
Must have an Associate degree or higher
Must hold a valid work visa for Japan
Must currently reside in Japan
Must be able to commit to at least one-year

We are particularly keen to find teachers for our spring course period March 18 – April 6 .
Teachers will teach writing, listening and grammar to junior and senior high school students.
This is not an eikaiwa and we are looking for professional experienced teachers who are comfortable teaching more than just conversation classes. Although we are a juku, we are more than a regular juku with class sizes being a maximum of 3 students and native English classes being taught alongside those taught in Japanese. We want to find teachers who take pride in their teaching and who will contribute to the success of our students.

Classes are held Mon- Sat (also Sun during Spring Course period) from 5pm - 10pm.
