ALTs work in public schools assisting the Japanese teachers, and helping to provide a positive and energetic experience through English for the students. It’s a great chance to learn and use the Japanese language on a daily basis, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly to be positively involved with the development of young children. Successful applicants should be available for Orientation/Training for 4 full days in late September in Nagoya city and be ready to start school from October 1st, 2012. They must be flexible, enjoy working with young children, and be motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for their students. A strong desire to live and work in Japan, good Japanese language skills, and teaching experience with young learners is also highly recommended. A minimum BA/BS degree is required, and a degree in a relevant field such as Japanese, Japanese History, East Asian Studies, Linguistics and the like are particularly useful though not absolutely necessary.

Hiroshima City ALT Position - Late December start
Part time Spanish Teacher, Hiroshima City
Applicants MUST have at least a BA/BS (or equivalent) from an accredited
university, possess a valid working visa and be a native speaker of Spanish. Applicants need to reside in the Hiroshima area. This position requires basic or conversational Japanese.
The position involves teaching two days a week for 2 hours in the morning from 9.00am to 11.00am on a week day (no Saturday or Sunday). An attractive hourly rate depending on your experience and availability. and transportation is fully reimbursed for the successful applicant. Comprehensive training will also be provided.
Applicants should possess a BA/BS (or equivalent) from a university and MUST hold a valid work visa for Japan.

English Instructor - Corporate lessons in Hiroshima
Since 2008 Gaba has been providing corporate instruction to executives, managers and staff from their businesses in the Kanto and Kansai regions as part of our "Corporate Off-site" initiative.
Beginning this summer we have been expanding these teaching services throughout Japan. We are aiming to build a base of English language instructors in each region. As a Gaba Corporate Off-site Instructor, you would be notified as new work comes available in your area and could offer your services as your schedule permits.
Our first contract in Hiroshima is with an IT software and systems developer starting in October. Lessons will be in a group format (4 ~ 5 students per group). As many as five 90-minute lessons will be conducted each week. Instructors can choose to teach one or more groups for a total duration of six months.
This is an excellent opportunity to diversify your work and add to your CV.
Eligibility:
• Must be of native level English proficiency (both spoken and written).
• Must have a valid work-permissible visa and any necessary associated documents (e.g. work permit).
• Japanese bank account required.
• University degree preferred.
• Prior teaching experience favored.
• CELTA, TEFL or TESOL certification valued.
• Must be comfortable using a computer.
