Project Manager - Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency

Japan is the 2nd non-EU investor in the Netherlands. Over 450 Japanese companies use the Netherlands for their European businesses. In total over 730 Japanese entities are registered at the chamber of commerce, the Japanese community counts almost 7.000 people and around 35.000 people are directly working for a Japanese company in the Netherlands. This makes Japan an important investor in the Netherlands. The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) is responsible for attracting investments to the Netherlands and taking care of current investors. Besides the office in Tokyo, the NFIA is also located within the Consulate General in Osaka.

The Project Manager works within the NFIA team and is part of the economic cluster of the Embassy. Together we promote the Dutch economy to Japan varying from trade, science, technology and innovation exchange to attracting FDI.

Main Tasks

Generate new leads and search for Japanese companies interested in an establishment in Europe.Participating in or visiting events that can generate leads.Follow-up leads and monitoring of existing investment projects.Maintain contacts with local Dutch parties involved in investment promotion, and with local intermediaries like fiscal advisors and consultants.Stay in contact with current investors (Investor Development)To work together with colleagues to achieve our goals.

The Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency promotes the Netherlands as a basis for international/European activities and assists foreign (Japanese) companies considering setting up a new subsidiary or expanding an existing company. The NFIA provides companies with a range of basic information; economic, financial and statistical; assistance in organizing fact-finding trips and site selection studies, and general consultation once a company has decided to establish an operation. Project Director

MSH seeks a Project Director for an anticipated procurement to strengthen the capacity of the Government of Kenya (GoK) to manage a high performing, sustainable, public-health-oriented laboratory service system. The goal of the project is to improve Kenya’s capacity in stewardship, technical guidance, and oversight to implement country-owned and-led quality integrated laboratory services. As such, s/he provides strategic and technical leadership and managerial oversight for the Project. S/he is the official representative of MSH for the project and maintains all communication with appropriate CDC officials, project partners and local stakeholders, and other MSH managed projects in Kenya to ensure adequate coordination of laboratory technical assistance. The Project Director is fully responsible and accountable for the development, execution and management of the project, including (1) vision and technical strategy, (2) project and financial management, (3) documentation, communication and reporting of project activities, (4) client(s), partners and stakeholder(s) relationships, and (5) coordination and synergy with other MSH Projects and collaboration with the MSH Country Representative and Country Operations Country Management Unit (COMU). S/he ensures project activities and results are responsive to the goals and objectives of both CDC and PEPFAR and that they comply with the policies of the GoK. S/he bears primary responsibility for all administrative requirements to fulfill the performance objectives and other requirements specified in the project cooperative agreement.Provide overall direction for all technical and managerial activities under the project as mandated by CDC. Responsibilities:

My client is a multinational engineering and consulting company. They are dedicated in balanced sustainability.

They offer their clients integrated management consulting for complex projects with efficient top class design and supervision. Their expertise extends into many industries such as energy, urban & mobility, industry , water and environment.

They are one of the leading power sector cons
ultancies in South East Asia and run these projects from just two of their offices in this area. They have a further 9 offices within this region dealing in many other consultancy matters.

My client has an urgent opening for an experienced Project Manager - feasibility studies for their thermal and renewable power projects in the Phillipines. The ideal candidate will have between 10 and 30 years experience from power utilities, independent power producers, consultancy and engineering companies.

Your scope of work will include the following:
· Management of power plant conceptual design studies
· Management of power plant pre-feasibility and feasibility studies
· Preparation of investment and O&M cost estimates
· Management of financial modelling for the projects
· Management of various other technical consulting assignments, such as technical due diligences and lenders engineer projects
· Preparation of reports for the clients as required and coordinating the internal report preparation process
· For interested candidates, business development, proposal preparation and consulting contract negotiation can be included in the scope of work
Much of the work involves writing reports in English language, so excellent English language skill is a must. The position is located in Manila, Philippines. The job includes occasional trips to other SE-Asian countries, so willingness to travel on short-term assignments is expected.

The qualifications and requirements for the position are:

Professional:
· Higher professional degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, energy economics, or other field relevant for power sector projects (M.Sc. or B.Sc.)
· Minimum of ten years professional experience from power sector
· Fluent in English
· Good skills in report writing
· Good skills in Microsoft Word and Excel computer programs

Salary and package for this particular position are somewhat negotiable and flexible. Salary range starts from £70,000 and can be extended to £100,000 plus for the right candidate.
