Our client is a very large Outsourcing firm which has bagged a Global Data Center project from one of their customers. In order to implement this project, they are currently aggressively hiring bilingual Operations Supervisors (3 open positions) to work at the Data Center.

You may be expected to relocate to Nagoya for an initial 8-10 months for knowledge transfer at the customer's site after which you will be back in Tokyo area on long term basis.

This is a Direct Contract role for an initial 6-12 months, after which your performance will be reviewed and there is a chance to become a permanent employee with our client.

Required Skills:

Knowledge in Mainframe
Knowledge in Unix & Windows Troubleshooting
Presentation skills
Minimum 3 years experience in handling Operation team

Operations support the firm’s sales, trading and other business activities and has diverse responsibilities, including:

This team supports Interest Rates and Credit products traded for Japan based clients and interdealers.

The available position is within the Confirmations Incoming Team and encompasses the monitoring of internal systems and liaising with internal/external clients to ensure timely return of ISDA confirmations and matching on electronic platforms as well as satisfactory resolution of client queries or issues.

This role currently covers normal business hours. However, occasions arise when the job is required to work longer hours on an ad-hoc basis. This team observes Japan Public Holidays only

• Experience in Fixed Income derivatives role (ISDA confirmations role ) an advantage

Analyze user requirements and produce functional specifications and
project plans for the re-development of several key business applications
Assist with the selection of software solutions and support the testing and implementation of the redeveloped systems.

Job wil start as a 50/50 split with basic operational work being done and learned in order to convert the work to a better system- so the other half is the tech part of creating the specs to match the work and then helping convert a ton of excel macros to a new system which relies on servoy and MySQL- the first part will be working with mostly Japanese operations people and the second part will involve being part of a 4 man tech team of long term gaijin - i.e. in English.

Position is currently being done as a 4 day job and can be full or part time to suit needs of both sides.
