Paralegal

We are looking for one talented and passionate individual who has experience in communication for part-time work (initially around 10 hours a week). We need someone who is fluent in Japanese and English. If you are seeking a hands-on opportunity, our company might be what you are looking for. The position is based in our office in Ebisu, a 2 minute walk from Ebisu station.

Job Responsibilities:

• Translate documents from Japanese to English, or English to Japanese
• Managing trademarks with the Japan Patent Office and international IP offices (Trademark search, filing, and monitoring) - training will be provided
• If necessary, personally going to the Japan Patent Office
• Support negotiation of legal fees with Attorneys
• Communicate with clients/prospective clients, and help grow business marketing strategy
• Provide feedback on website content and maintenance
• Reporting all activities in English

Requirements:

• Attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication in both English and Japanese
• Experience with Microsoft Office and computer skills
• Legal background preferred
• Valid working visa

Remuneration will be 1200? per hour and the position will initially be for approximately 10 hours per week, (split between two or three weekdays is fine). Please submit a cover letter and resume; successful applicants will be contacted shortly.
