- Native-level English
- Advanced Japanese reading and speaking ability (JLPT Level 1 or equivalent)
- Science background (academic or professional) e.g. biology, medicine, physics, hemistry
- Undergraduate degree or higher
- Translation or translation-checking experience preferred
