Job Description



Client Overview:


Our Client is a major US Consumer Goods/Retail Company that has around 800 stores worldwide and about 100 stores in Japan.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop pay ranges based on Job Grade and insure the proper relationship between the jobs and the pay ranges. Develop salary recommendation for new hires. Participate in external compensation survey for benchmarking.

  • Coordinate compensation processes like merit increase, promotional increase, annual incentive bonus, stock plan etc..

  • Review monthly all salary and its relevant data including expats in addition to annual incentive bonus for proper accounting. Also review monthly and annual tax reporting and payments.

  • Review and insure that all applications of social and labor insurances with the Government are properly filed, and updated as required according to changes/revisions made by them.

  • Develop / maintain / improve employee retirement benefit plans (DB and DC).


Required Skills



  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience in payroll, its related social insurance and tax

  • Minimum 5-8 years working experience in compensation management area including retirement benefits

  • Knowledge of payroll calculation, income and resident tax, social insurances and retirement benefits

  • Knowledge of payroll accounting

  • Knowledge of Japan labor law and income tax law

  • Knowledge of HR information system

  • Strong Analytical skills

  • Business level English
