Part-time School Laboratory Technician ‹ K. International School Tokyo (K. インターナショナルスクール東京) ‹ Japan Guide - 2015
KIST is seeking a part-time School Laboratory Technician to support its Secondary School science program during the 2015-2016 school year. The main duties of the technician include:
– Preparing equipment, chemicals and supplies for physics, chemistry and biology labs.
– Contributing to maintaining a safe environment for students within the science labs.
– Assisting science teachers in supervising and conducting lab activities.
– Organizing the procurement, maintenance and storage of an adequate stock of chemicals and apparatus.
Applications will be accepted from persons from any national background; however, communication skills in English is required. Skills in Japanese are also highly desirable.
The initial contract period will commence in August 2015 and continue through June 2016. Contract renewal may be possible depending on school needs and performance. Working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
In addition to the hourly salary, other benefits include:
– Reimbursement for commuter expenses up to a maximum of 1,000 yen per work day.
