English Instructor - Corporate lessons in Kurashiki

Since 2008 Gaba has been providing corporate instruction to executives, managers and staff from their businesses in the Kanto and Kansai regions as part of our "Corporate Off-site" initiative.

Beginning summer 2011 we have been expanding these teaching services throughout Japan. We aim to build a base of English language instructors in each region. As a Gaba Corporate Off-site Instructor, you would be notified as new work comes available in your area and could offer your services as your schedule permits.

Our first contract in Okayama prefecture will take place on location at a major hotel chain starting in November. Lessons are to be 90 minutes during which hotel staff can expect professional instruction in an English immersion environment. The instructor will teach one group lesson a week. The lessons will take place in the late morning/ early afternoon.

A Gaba representative will be visiting Kurashiki to provide a day of certification on one of either Thursday, October 13th, or Friday, October 14th. Please be sure of your availability to attend prior to applying.

Eligibility:
• Must be of native level English proficiency (both spoken and written).
• Must have a valid work-permissible visa and any necessary associated documents (e.g. work permit).
• Japanese bank account required.
• University degree preferred.
• Prior teaching experience favored.
• CELTA, TEFL or TESOL certification valued.
• Must be comfortable using a computer.
• Driver’s license also preferable but not required.
