Elementary School Teacher
We are seeking native English speaking teachers to teach kindergarten/first grade to our students of international backgrounds. Student-teacher ratios are low and preference will be given to teachers capable of teaching multiple subjects. Candidates must be certified.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary is negotiable and will depend on qualifications and responsibilities

- Travel expenses (to Rokkasho, Japan)
- Cost of transporting personal belongings (to Rokkasho, Japan)
Contract Period
- immediate – July 2015*
* Initial contract from date of hire to March 2015 to be followed by subsequent contract of April 2015-July 2015, due to technical reasons
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Classes are from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Teachers may use school facilities between 8:15 to 19:00 for lesson planning and preparation.
Responsibilities
- Teaching all or most elementary school subjects to children of international backgrounds.
- Implementation of curriculum (International Primary Curriculum) provided by the school in a fun and effective manner.
Visa Requirements
The school may offer visa sponsorship to successful candidates from outside Japan.
