English Teacher for kids ‹ Japan Guide - 2015


Our school is located in the calm suburb area in Shizuoka. It is a small and family oriented school. We are looking for a loving and caring person who is eager to make differences in children’s lives. Our students ages range from one year old to Jr. High schoolers. Majority of our students are from three years old to 10 years old.

We believe making the English environment for children is the key to learning English naturally. There is no-Japanese rule in the class. We try making the classes fun and informative at the same time.

Job Description:



– Planning lessons according to the topics for the month.



– Conducting lessons that are fun and informative.



– Taking a genuine interest in the improvement of students’ English skills.



– Planning and participating in the seasonal events such as BBQ, Halloween party, Christmas Party, and Camping trips.



– Attending English staff meeting every week.


Job Requirements:



– Must have been raised in a country whose main language is English



– Have a four year degree from an accredited university


Preferred Personality and experiences:



– Loves and cares for kids



– Has experience working with kids



– Positive, flexible, and motivated to work hard as a teacher



– Understands and accepts cultural differences in working with Japanese staff and management


Working Condition:



Days – Monday through Friday



Seasonal events are on Saturdays



Hours – 35 hours a week maximum



Training – After being hired, the candidate will receive two to three weeks of training



Probationary Period – Three months probationary period applies. During this period we pay 80% of the salary.



Housing – Furnished apartment available.
