Public School ALT in Japan (Interviews in Detroit) ‹ Altia Central (株式会社 アルティアセントラル) ‹ Japan Guide - 2015

PLEASE NOTE: This posting for overseas interviews is ONLY for candidates who can attend a face to face interview in Detroit, Michigan.

Would you like to teach in Japan? Or make a return to Japan? Would you like to work with one of the most reputable and successful companies in Japan? If so, we are still looking for some great people to join our team as public school Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) in Central and Southern Japan starting from the fall term in September, 2015.

These 1-on-1 weekend interviews will be held in various overseas locations including Detroit, Michigan, and we are looking forward to meeting as many interested and qualified applicants as possible. Our available dates set aside for interviews in Detroit are Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st and we will unfortunately not be able to add to or alter these dates.

ALTIA CENTRAL enjoys an excellent reputation and is a highly respected company both with Boards of Education and amongst the English teaching community in Japan. Most of our ALT positions are in prefectures such as Aichi, Shizuoka, Gifu, Nagano, Mie and Shiga in central Japan, as well as other positions south of here in Osaka, Okayama and Hiroshima prefectures.

ALTs mostly work in public Elementary and Junior High schools, assisting the Japanese teachers, and helping to provide a positive and energetic experience through English for the students. Our ALT positions offer the opportunity to join a great company and experience working in the public school system. You get a chance to learn and use the Japanese language on a daily basis, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly to be positively involved with the development of young children.

If you have the desire to accept this type of responsibility, please contact ALTIA CENTRAL. We offer a stable, reliable and professional support system and our ALTs enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including generous, fully-paid vacation periods. We also provide excellent teacher training, an amazing array of educational resources, apartments and other benefits. Please visit our website at http://recruiting.altmoot.com/ for further details on benefits and support and more about our organization and which areas we operate in.

The successful applicants should be available to come to Japan by late August, 2015 for Orientation/Training before starting in school from September 1st. They must be flexible, enjoy working with young children, and be motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for their students. A strong desire to live and work in Japan, good Japanese language skills, and teaching experience with young learners is also highly recommended. A minimum BA/BS degree is required, and a degree in a relevant field such as Japanese, Japanese History, East Asian Studies, Linguistics and the like are particularly useful though not absolutely necessary.

PLEASE NOTE: This posting is ONLY for candidates currently based overseas and only those applicants who we are considering for interviews will be contacted.
