The GD-ITO Web Hosting team for Manila is experiencing significant growth as our Managed Services customers increase their demand for Application and Web Server deployment and support. We aim to provide best-in-class support for application and web servers.
Role Description
HP is a leading IT comprehensive outsourcing services provider empowering businesses to plan, manage and maintain their integrated, ultra-high availability, and secure operations. Advancing to meet the demands of its Fortune 500 clients in the financial, retail, transportation, and manufacturing industries, HP offers IT infrastructure management, application hosting, e-services, and m-commerce operations.
We are looking for individuals to provide Technical Support to HP's global customer base. The successful candidate will work on a global operations team responsible for the support of Web and Application technologies. The candidate will also be expected to work on several customer issues/initiatives concurrently with the development/deployment group.
As a Junior Web Hosting Support Specialist, you are expected to: handle end-to-end delivery of SLAs for assigned accounts; provide service delivery to the required service levels; install, configure and administer large scale global and regional middleware applications; and provide reactive support for customers and introduce measures to reduce reactive work.
- Must be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status
- Must have a background in computer science, a related discipline or equivalent work experience in IT
- At least one year hands-on experience in systems administration of at least one web server technology and one application server technology
- At least one year experience in working on both UNIX and/or Windows platforms
- At least one year experience with installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting/tuning, and support for any of the following: .Net, Web Logic, Apache, Websphere, SunOne Appl Server, Java/J2EE, Oracle Application Server, IIS, SunOne Web Server, Sharepoint
- Experience in ISA Servers, Websense, proxy gateway server,
- Preferably with certifications in MCSA, MCSE, UNIX Administration, Weblogic, Websphere, SunOne, etc.
- Familiarity with ITIL concepts and process is an advantage
- Must have strong analysis, customer handling, documentation and English communication skills
- Must be an independent worker
- Can work in shifting schedule including weekends and holidays
- Willing to work in the Fort Taguig or Makati
