Process Engineer Gas-Japan and Qatar

Our client is Joint Venture Company owned by Qatar Petroleum & Exxon Mobil and one of the most successful Global Energy Suppliers in the world. Oversees and manages all the operations associated with seven LNG Trains two Sales Gas Production Facilities Helium Production Facilities in Qatar as well as major shipping contracts and global commercial partnership in the world has immediate requirement for above opening on contract hire basis.

Project Profile-

Barzan Gas Project.The entire Barzan gas development has a project value of around 1.7 billion. It consists of onshore and offshore gas-processing facilities.Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil plan to develop the Barzan Gas plant to produce gas from Qatars giant North field for utilization in the domestic gas related and petrochemical industries.The project will also supply ethane feedstock to the 6 billion petrochemical plant.The project scheduled to become operational soon developed in three phases: Phase 1 will produce 1.7 billion cu.ft/dcubic feet a day gross of gas Phase 2 another 2 billion cu.ft/d and Phase 3 another 2.5 billion cu.ft/d supply for the Qatar market.The engineering procurement and construction or EPC contract was awarded to Hyundai Heavy Industries for the offshore portion of the project.

Department - Barzan Onshore Project

Duration in Japan: September 2011 to December 2012

Duration in Qatar: January 2013 to February2015

Role and responsibilities-

Provides technical expertise and guidance within the project Process discipline on all aspects of the EPC design of the gas processing systems including P&ID development equipment sizing specification and data sheet preparation and HAZOPS and other design reviews to ensure that a quality process design serves as the basis for the balance of the design work

Provides engineering surveillance on EPC gas processing systems design work processes and deliverables.

Monitors gas processing systems discipline schedule and progress.

Consistently complete EPC deliverable reviews within contractual time limit PFDs P&IDs data sheets equipment specifications requisition packages technical bid evaluations SDRs

Qualification & Experience-

Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Engineering Chemical Engineering preferred.

Minimum of five 5 years experience in EPC projects in both engineering home office and operating facilities with strong skills in:

Specifications codes and standards applicable to process design

Sizing of and specification writing for gas process equipment

Review of P&IDs data sheets and other design documents for internal consistency and conformance to project specifications
