A People Greeter welcomes and assists each Customer as he/she enters the store, ensures Customer safety in the greeting area.Practicing the 3 Metre Attitude.( friendly smile and eye contact) Welcoming each Customer to Wal-Mart by smiling, greeting in a friendly tone with a "Hello" or "Welcome to Wal-Mart" Recognize and react to shopper's needs.( direction in store, assistance with children etc.) Participates as a Loss Prevention team player by:. Attaching return tickets to all merchandise entering the store. Identifying large outbound purchases such as TV’s and verifying the customers receipt (item and date) Observing and reporting any suspicious behaviors to management and Loss Prevention Reacting to code ADAM pages as per the guidelines Understands and follows the EAS Program by: When the EAS system is activated they assist in identifying the root cause and logging the incident. Bringing any system failures to the management teams attention for service Practices safe work habits through: Ensuring the entrance has safe floor conditions for our Customers. Using "Caution Wet" signs. Keeping front entrance clean. Cleaning up front entrance spills promptly. Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety Act guidelines are being followed. Distributing shopping cart child restraints. Being knowledgeable about emergency and safety procedures. Wiping down wet carts coming in from the rain.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
