We are currently seeking a system engineer / programmer for high traffic websites

GPlus Media K.K.
is a young, rapidly growing internet business powering several of Japan and China's best known international websites including GaijinPot.com, JapanToday.com and Ecentral.jp, in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ). Our team is comprised of highly organized, success-minded individuals who enjoy the challenges of working with a rapidly growing but small group of diverse people.

The ideal candidate will have excellent System Administration knowledge/experience, and excellent programming skills, a passion for clean coding & clear database architecture and a good sense of current generation web aesthetics.

TASKS
- Build scalable, secure and fast high traffic websites.
- Develop efficient multilingual search engines and API.

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION
- Linux, shell/bash, SSH, RAC
- Apache, Memcache, MySQL, postfix...
- Knowledge of high availability architecture including firewalls and switches configuration

PROGRAMMING SKILLS:
- Script: PHP (Zend Framework), javascript (jQuery)
- Database: MySQL, SQLite
- Expertise in at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Objective C
