Private Elementary, Junior & Senior High School & College English Teacher - December 2011

PRIVATE ELEMENTARY, JUNIOR/SENIOR High School and COLLEGE English Teacher.

DESCRIPTION of POSITIONS
We are now taking applications from teachers seeking employment to teach English language (ESL) programmes at PRIVATE ELEMENTARY, JUNIOR and SENIOR HIGH schools and VOCATIONAL Colleges.
Starting dates:
(a) DECEMBER 2011. Application deadline November 25th
(b) JANUARY 2012. Application deadline December 25th
(c) APRIL 2012.

TEACHING SUBJECTS OTHER THAN ESL
We are teaching the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme to primary and secondary school Japanese students with a high level of English language proficiency. We also teach non Japanese students at International Schools that have English as their first language. If you hold an education degree and home country experience to teach one or more of the following subjects; English Literature, History, Geography, Social Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Physical Education and you are interested to learn more, then please enquire further.

TEACHERS will be teaching with or without Japanese English teacher support.

TEACHING SCHEDULES
What is your preferred working schedule ?
When making an application please put (a) to (d) below into an order of preference.
***Teaching up to 20 class hours per week in schedules (a) and (b) below ***
(a) FULL TIME 5 days. Monday through Friday.
Fixed daily working time 08:30 ~ 16:30/17:00.
(b) FULL TIME Any 4 weekdays and Saturday.
Fixed daily working time 08:30 ~ 16:30/17:00.
(c) FULL TIME 6 days. Monday through Saturday.
Fixed daily working time 08:30 ~ 16:30/17:00.
(d) PART TIME openings – If you are only able to work PART TIME then what are your available days and times.

HOW MANY SCHOOLS will I teach at ?
Teachers are usually working at 1 school.
Schedules to teach at 2 or 3 schools per week are also possible.

CONTRACT PERIOD
Full time teachers will have a minimum employment term of 1 year and the employment contract can be extended..

TEACHING LOCATIONS
We have school placements in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba and Saitama and a few rural locations.

USING A FIXED CURRICULUM with integrated testing to teach 4 skills, (speaking, listening, reading and writing), with or without a material support package developed by the publishing arm of Sagan Speak.

WE ALSO TEACH highly specific composition writing courses to prepare high school students for university entrance exams and run courses to prepare for EIKEN, TOEIC, IELTS and SAT tests.

COMPETITIVE MONTHLY SALARY is offered in the range of 250,000 to 340,000 yen per month plus traveling expense. An entry level salary is based on the level of experience and qualifications of the teacher, responsibility in the work place, the number of working days, daily working time and the number of regular teaching hours per week.

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE is available for people needing to relocate.

TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMMES have been developed to aid all levels of teaching experience.

MINIMUM TEACHER REQUIREMENTS
?Native level of English. ?Bachelor degree. ?Teaching experience in Japan.

TEACHER SELECTION PROCESS
After the initial resume screening process we will invite selected candidates for an interview in Tokyo. If you pass the interview process you will be offered a teaching position. TEACHERS will be selected quickly so send your resume soon.
