DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Yokohama Association for International Communications and Exchanges (YOKE), is appointing a qualified secretary to be seconded to the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) Secretariat. ITTO, headquartered in Yokohama, is a United Nations family organization that tackles issues related to conservation and sustainable management of tropical forests and tropical timber under the International Tropical Timber Agreement (ITTA),2006, which was negotiated under the auspices of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). ITTO is the only treaty organization in the world that deals with tropical forests, and also the only UN family organization headquartered in Japan whose Secretariat is based on a treaty.
