Native English Teacher for Preschool and Kindergarten Children

The curriculum is based on Developmentally Appropriate Programs including music & movement, arts & crafts, games. We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible teachers who can teach preschool and/or after-school classes. Classes are conducted by paring up with a Japanese teacher, to assist maximum learning for young children. Preschool classes are from 10:00 AM till 2:00 PM, and after-school classes for Kindergarten and elementary school children are from 3:15/3:45 PM till 5:15 PM. Base curriculum will be provided, with creative ideas and arrangements always welcome.

How to learn, how to create and how to develop balanced physical abilities necessary for the international information society depends on the experiences in the early childhood. PLAYGROUP Omori started from February 2010.
The native teacher pairs up with a Japanese teacher in the class. Most of the children are Japanese, and their parents definitely want them to be able to use English and learn their cultures. The program is based on “Creative Curriculum,” developed by Diane Dodge, which aims children to become enthusiastic learners. Children learn through playing, so we provide the environment and program so that children can have fun playing in English. Please take a look at our website . This is a part time position, but if you wish to work more days/time, it is possible to discuss combining the positions at other PLAYGROUP schools in Kanagawa area.
