Senior Sales Consultant - Communications Global Business Unit
CGBU offers a rich and leading set of software products to help Telco and Cloud service providers to provide revenue generating services to their subscribers. These products range from a foundational carrier grade application container for the execution and creation of converged application services in Java, Telco API platform to expose network capabilities as enablers for 3rd party innovation, Digital Store for promoting in house and 3rd party applications and content online, Mobile Advertising and Marketing for capitalizing ad revenue stream, Policy Management for monetizing and optimizing network bandwidth to Unified Communications as a cloud service. They together help Telco and Cloud service providers to increase top line growth and enable their subscribers to enjoy a connected digital lifestyle experience with their smart phones, tablets and desktops. We are looking for a senior sales consultant to focus on solutions in this growing and interesting domain, whose primary role is to provide sales support functions to the local account team. As a subject matter of expertise, you will play a key role on expanding the business in this domain.
As a senior sales consultant, you will work closely with the local account in Japan to support the sales of the related products in the region. You will engage in presales activities with a consultative role, advice Telco operators, cloud providers and partners on how to architect their solutions aligning to their business goals. The solution area in this domain is very important to the future of Telco and Cloud service providers, and provides an excellent environment to enrich you in this ever changing industrial trend.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
1) Conduct workshops to discover & understand the plan of our customers on offering revenue generating services and understand the landscape of the existing systems in light of deploying these services.
2) Work with customers to design & develop solution architectures required to maximize the footprint and value of the Oracle solutions.
3) Work as part of a bid team to manage the pre-sales process and developing solution proposals for customers.
4) Train & work with partners to develop new services & applications using Oracle product set
5) Co-work with cross lines of business within Oracle, including consulting & development in defining & managing the implementation of the solutions for trials or proof of concepts
1) Bachelor or Master in software engineering or computer science
2) Minimum 8-10 years of experience working for a telecom operator, network equipment provider, or relevant solution vendors in the similar business and technical capacities.
3) Excellent knowledge of JEE, SIP, IMS, NGN, GSMA, LTE, policy management, and voice/video/data services.
4) Experience on OCCAS (SIP Servlet Container), OCSG (Service Gatekeeper), Oracle technology such as FMW and RDBMS is a plus.
5) Innovative, resourceful, persistent, proactive
6) Independent & able to work in highly complex environments.
7) Strong selling skills and fluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken).
It requires knowledge of SOA, network elements such as media server and messaging gateway, and BSS functions such as policy and charging. It also requires some hands on experience for preparing demo and PoC. Sometimes, it requires traveling outside of Japan to support other opportunities in Asia Pacific.
