The technology implementation analyst acts as a liaison among business stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business products, processes and systems.  May also be a liaison to external customers. This position will collect, analyze and synthesize data to document requirements and translate into detailed technology needs, formal specifications, and product configurations ensuring needs of stakeholders and business are met. 
 
The technology implementation analyst will review product needs, business and functional design documents, implement requirements documents translating them into software configurations using medium to high level SQL skills, testing, and providing support to customers.   
 
Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develops and improves business processes within the technology and business organizations and understands client requirements, specifying and analyzing these to a sufficient level of detail to ensure clarity of definition.

  • Translates complex business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Responsible for the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of a client’s business needs and requirements for medium and large projects.

  • Elicits, writes formal specifications, and communicates business requirements between development and client to design and implement business solutions.

  • Makes technical solution recommendations to meet requirements based on understanding of how configured solutions will impact the business and stakeholders. 

  • Responsible for building and maintaining a relationship with customers and internal teams.

  • Uses a structured requirements process to assess near-term needs and adheres to metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.   May recommend metrics.

  • Ensures that implementation follows the design.

  • Ensures change management and communication of change to team and/or client is done in a systematic way for complex projects.

  • Proactively identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to the process.

  • Develops an in-depth awareness and understanding of multiple their technologies, products, and services.

  • Participates in short term planning sessions with a client to improve a business process.


Required Skills



  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent in education and work experience

  • Solid knowledge in SQL; understands advanced SQL query functions and data transformations

  • Excellent communication skills including ability to influence and negotiate

  • Good command of spoken and written Japanese and English

  • Understands the development organization and other specialized areas such as product management and data and future direction of the business for an assigned client area

  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills

  • Solid knowledge in Crystal Report or other report development tools is preferred

  • Understands principles of usability and helps ensure products are fit for purpose

  • Understands requirements management best practice and ensures these practices are used

  • Understands the effects of technology used within development, and the impact on the client

  • Understands basic Intellectual Property information 

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills

  • Solid understanding of the client’s existing business processes, the key drivers and measures of success of the business, and the short and long term direction of the business and technology

  • Solid knowledge of information systems, business operations, requirements analysis, and integration/design of client solutions

  • High level understanding of the overall development or internal systems architecture in order to recognize the issues and implications of proposed systems & hardware solutions

  • Solid understanding of Business Operations and requirements processes

  • Moderate experience in information systems, development life cycle and business process development

  • Expert level proficiency with MS Office Suite and advanced expertise with Access

  • Gains experience in leading others and projects.

  • Up to 25% travel, including international
