The Technical Marketing & Service Manager has the responsibility of driving profitable growth through understanding customer needs and communicating Honeywell’s value proposition and also ensuring that customers have access to HON know-how regarding all refrigeration products. S/he is responsible for working with the cross-functional organization including finance, sales, supply chain, operations, marketing communications, and technology to meet operating Income for the business annually. S/he is responsible for working closely with the marketing and technology teams and translating customer requirements to deliver the refrigerants value propositions along with technical usage support including:
Direct and drive technical service activities for refrigerant products service the stationary and refrigeration customer markets (OEM and Aftermarket), helping to maintain and grow existing business and gain new business.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with marketing managers and account managers, support the technical conversion of equipment to use Honeywell HFC and LGWP products.
- Support and service to maintain and grow the value proposition for the product lines, and develop new, expanded technical service offerings to achieve the same; understand customer challenges/problems and contribute to the solutions provided.
- As the subject matter expert, inform and advise the business on customer related challenges issues; contribute to the strategic marketing plans and focus of the business
- Participate as key interface between business, technology team in Buffalo and Shanghai Laboratories, and customers; Support trials and participate in next generation product phase gate reviews as needed.
- Effectively lead and manage technical service team, driving higher performance and contributions by all involved.
-Oversee the key account plan process as it pertains to technical service, ensuring optimal use of technical service resources to achieve maximum results
-Play a key role in developing and implementing key product adoption activities integrating HSE considerations into the refrigerants business
- Liaise with direct contractors to ensure they understand the specifications and equipment requirements necessary to use HON refrigeration products.
-Oversee equipment utilization and safety considerations on behalf of the business area and recommend appropriate actions
- Provide liaison to maintain plant distribution personnel involvement in business goals and resolve delivery issues
- Take an active leadership role in Refrigeration/HVAC and related industry groups
- Monitor and interpret transportation and other regulatory issues affecting the business and recommend compliance actions
- Support fleet management with guidance on appropriate safety standards and drive Honeywell to standard fleet design
- Lead the planning and execution of customer roundtables
- Primary contact for plant quality personnel to discuss specifications and quality excursions
- Grow and further develop relationship with other HON businesses, which service the same/similar industries and client groups to drive greater customer value.
-Travel: up to 75%
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or technical field
- Minimum 6 years HVAC/Refrigerant industry experience (can include customer marketing experience with technical/industrial products).
Additional Qualifications:
- Advanced degree preferred
- Experience in technical support for industrial and chemical products
- Ability to work in a cross-functional organization
- Strong business-to-business understanding
- Strong written and presentation communication skills in Japanese and English
- Customer contact experience desired
- Proven track record executing technical and commercial programs
- Willingness and ability to play a proactive role in regulatory issues
