General Manager Japan
Our client is a well respected European manufacture of Flow Control Devices that is looking to expand their operations in Japan. They are searching for their 1st General Manager with a strong sales background to lead the Japan business and to lay the groundwork for future growth.
Your primary responsibility is to lead the Japan operations and to develop both direct sales as well as a distributor network. You will work closely with the HQ to localize product to the Japanese market and to provide strategic input to HQ. Overall responsibility for business planning, strategy, sales and people and customer management. As the General Manager for Japan you will represent Japan to both the APAC and Global management.
Our product has a wide range of applications covering many manufacturing sectors such as high tech, chemicals, food, pharma etc. In this role you will be responsible for setting the future strategy with the aim of growing revenue, increasing marketing share and increasing brand awareness.
?????23??????????????The ideal person will have a strong sales track record in a closely related area and will have managed both overall business results as well as people. You will be a native Japanese speaker with a strong command of English and decisive leadership. Since the operation is Japan is still small you will be acting as a Playing Manager and managing customers as well as assisting others in managing their key accounts.
