Preschool/Kindergarten Teacher

Curriculum:
English Express has an extensive curriculum which includes weekly cooking and craft activities, phonics, mathematics, science, physical education, music, role-playing, story-telling, values lessons and more. Field trips, outdoor activities, sports days, plays and pageants also make up a big part of the school year. The curriculum is constantly under development and teachers will be expected to actively contribute.

Working Hours:
The position will start in September or October. Hours for a typical day run from 9 o'clock AM until 6 o'clock PM. Actual teaching time is 7 hours in a day for full time, with an hour for class preparation and an hour of break-time.

Holidays:
All national holidays and weekends. Spring, Summer and Winter breaks exceeding 3 weeks, and 10 days sick/holiday leave.

Training:
1-2 weeks of observation and training prior to beginning full-time teaching. Continuing development and training throughout the term of employment.

Transportation:
English Express will cover transportation expenses, up to 20,000 yen per month.

Contract:
1 year renewable contract preferred.
