Support Engineer (Senior)

CallDirect is looking for a senior-level desktop and server support engineer based in Tokyo, bilingually fluent in technical English and technical Japanese.

Responsibilities:

- Monitoring and maintenance of general system availability
- Support multiple hardware and software platforms
- Diagnose and fix hardware, software and networking issues
- Support and maintenance of Linux server infrastructure
- Support and maintenance of Cisco routing infrastructure
- Communication and coordination with Japanese IT suppliers

Qualifications:

- 1+ years experience with day-to-day Linux sysadmin duties
- 1+ years experience with Cisco router administration.
- Significant LAMP experience
- Working knowledge of Asterisk / VOIP
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, UNIX security, system monitoring tools
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Working knowledge of SIP

- Experience with NAS/SAN, LDAP, AD, automation tools (Puppet/Chef), monitoring
applications, cloud server provisioning
