Second Extensive Reading World Congress to be held in Seoul, Korea

Extensive Reading FoundationThe Extensive Reading Foundation (ERF) has announced the exact date and venue for the Second ER World Congress. The event will be hosted by the the Korean English Extensive Reading Association at Sookmyung Women’s University on September 14th & 15th 2013 in Seoul, Korea. The first World Congress was held in Kyoto, Japan, in September 2011 and was considered a huge success. In Kyoto, more than 400 participants enjoyed around 160 presentations by lecturers such as David Hill, William Grabe, and Paul Nation.

Next year's congress will be a two-day gathering of scholars, educators, writers, and publishers for the purpose of discussing and promoting the theory and practice of extensive reading in second-language education. Topics to be addressed include internet & e-media, rating scales & progress measurement, non-linear reading, and many other interesting fields. Presentation submissions will open on December 1st 2012.
