Public School (ALT): (Nov. Interviews in Seoul, South Korea)
Would you like to teach in Japan? Or possibly make a return to Japan? Would you like to work with one of the most reputable and successful companies in Japan? If so, we are beginning to look for some great people to join our team as public school Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) in Central and Southern Japan starting from April, 2013.
ALTs mostly work in public Elementary and Junior High schools, assisting the Japanese teachers, and helping to provide a positive and energetic experience through English for the students.
We will be conducting interviews over the weekend in early November in a number of cities around the world, including Seoul, South Korea. We are looking forward to meeting as many interested and qualified applicants as possible this fall for positions in April 2013.
ALTIA CENTRAL enjoys a excellent reputation and is a highly respected company both with Boards of Education and amongst the English teaching community in Japan. Most of our ALT positions are in prefectures such as Aichi, Shizuoka, Gifu, Mie and Shiga in central Japan, as well as other positions south of here in Osaka, Okayama and Hiroshima prefectures. Our ALT positions offer the opportunity to join a great company and experience working in the public school system. You get a chance to learn and use the Japanese language on a daily basis, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly to be positively involved with the development of young children.
If you have the desire to accept this type of responsibility, please contact ALTIA CENTRAL. We offer a stable, reliable and professional support system and our ALTs enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including generous, fully-paid vacation periods. We also provide excellent teacher training, an amazing array of educational resources, apartments and other benefits. Please visit our website at http://recruiting.altmoot.com/ for further details on benefits and support and more about our organization and which areas we operate in.
The successful applicants should be available to come to Japan from late March for Orientation/Training before starting from April 1st though there may also be openings from other times in the year as well. They must be flexible, enjoy working with young children, and be motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for their students. A strong desire to live and work in Japan, good Japanese language skills, and teaching experience with young learners is also highly recommended. A minimum BA/BS degree is required, and a degree in a relevant field such as Japanese, Japanese History, East Asian Studies, Linguistics and the like are particularly useful though not absolutely necessary.
PLEASE NOTE: This posting is ONLY for candidates currently based in South Korea and only those applicants who we are considering for interviews will be contacted.
