ALTIA CENTRAL is now accepting applications to join our team from October 2012 in Toyota city, Aichi prefecture, about an hour outside of Nagoya. We are looking for a positive and friendly person to fill this full-time public school ALT position in several Elementary schools.

Toyota is a great city to live and work in, vibrant and interesting and within easy access to Nagoya city as well. The schools and students are a lot of fun, the city itself has the best of the big city atmosphere and relaxing countryside, and there is a solid group of ALTs already working there to help the new ALTs transition.

Our company, ALTIA CENTRAL, enjoys an excellent reputation and is a highly respected company both with Boards of Education and amongst the English teaching community in Japan. We operate mostly in the Chubu area, especially Aichi, Gifu, Mie, and Shizuoka prefectures, and areas further west such as Shiga, Osaka, Okayama and Hiroshima.

We offer a stable, reliable and extremely professional support system and our ALTs enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including generous, fully-paid vacation periods. We also provide excellent teacher training, an amazing array of educational resources, apartments and other benefits. Please visit our recruiting website at http://recruiting.altmoot.com/ for further details about our organization.

ALTs work in public schools assisting the Japanese teachers, and helping to provide a positive and energetic experience through English for the students. It’s a great chance to learn and use the Japanese language on a daily basis, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly to be positively involved with the development of young children. If you have the desire to accept this type of responsibility, please contact ALTIA CENTRAL.

Successful applicants should be available for Orientation/Training for 4 full days in early October in Nagoya city and be ready to start school from October 1st, 2012. They must be flexible, enjoy working with young children, and be motivated to go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for their students. A strong desire to live and work in Japan, good Japanese language skills, and teaching experience with young learners is also highly recommended. A minimum BA/BS degree is required, and a degree in a relevant field such as Japanese, Japanese History, East Asian Studies, Linguistics and the like are particularly useful though not absolutely necessary.

*Please understand that only applicants considered for interview will be contacted and that we do not have any positions in or near the greater Tokyo area.
