Junior High School ALT in Nagoya city

ALTIA CENTRAL is now accepting applications to join our team from September 2012 in a Junior High school only position here in Nagoya city, Aichi prefecture. This is a non-driving, full-time, public school ALT position at 2 Junior High schools in the Midori ku area.

This is a full-time position for the remainder of this school year from early September to the end of March 2013. School however ends in mid-February so while the ALT does not actually have to work through to March, salary will still be paid in full in all non-teaching periods including the lengthy winter break.

ALTs work in public schools assisting the Japanese teachers, and helping to provide a positive and energetic experience through English for the students. Our company, ALTIA CENTRAL, enjoys an excellent reputation and is a highly respected company both with Boards of Education and amongst the English teaching community in Japan.

Most of our ALT positions are in prefectures such as Aichi, Shizuoka, Gifu, Mie and Shiga in central Japan, as well as other positions south of here in Osaka, Okayama and Hiroshima prefectures. Our ALT positions offer the opportunity to join a great company and experience working in the public school system. You get a chance to learn and use the Japanese language on a daily basis, to experience and appreciate cultural differences, and most importantly to be positively involved with the development of young children.

If you have the desire to accept this type of responsibility, please contact ALTIA CENTRAL. We offer a stable, reliable and professional support system and our ALTs enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including generous, fully-paid vacation periods. We also provide excellent teacher training, an amazing array of educational resources, apartments and other benefits. A strong desire to live and work in Japan, good Japanese language skills, and teaching experience with young learners is also highly recommended. A minimum BA/BS degree is required, and a degree in a relevant field such as Japanese, Japanese History, East Asian Studies, Linguistics and the like are particularly useful though not absolutely necessary.
