Summary:

Provides solution support to customers’ business needs using SafeNet’s SRM suite of products, answering more complex questions on function and usage of product/solution via the telephone and/or Internet/Email/Webinar and/or in Person to the Japan customers. Engages in Technical Negotiations to convince the customer about the suitability of SafeNet’s SRM products for his purpose – is able to clearly articulate the value proposition to the customers. Conveys customer feedback to product development staff. Possesses thorough knowledge of company’s products used by customers. Responsible for resource planning (for the purpose of managing demos and test environments), managing customer expectations and project deliverables, and providing cross-functional escalation and communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:include, but are not limited, to, the following: (% of time)

Assist sales to identify and qualify all opportunities for assigned strategic accounts and general inquiries. 

Creates and delivers accurate and technically correct sales presentations to potential customers. Work with sales staff to further customer relationships.Pre-sales engineering support for SafeNet hardware and software products.Supports regional account managers on technical issues with products.

Professional Services Engagement and Lead Conversion Activities.

Assist Sales with Demand Generation. 

Write technical notes, application notes, case studies and solutions.Responsible for resource planning for maintaining necessary environments that allow him to efficiently undertake the Product Demos and Testing.Special projects and duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

Education:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent education and experience.  BSEE or BSCS, MCSE, CCIE or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

7-10 years industry experience working in a Pre-Sales/Sales Engineering role and providing solution guidance – be able to translate Customer’s Business Pain Point into the Technical Solution.Language experience with at least one programming language is a must.Language experience with at least one Serial Programming Language and Any one object oriented platform independent language will be an additional advantage.Experience with ERP and CRM tools and how these integrate with other systems will be an additional advantage.

Skills:

Understanding customers’ business pain point and translating that into technical solution around products being handled.Ability to lead the customer discussion beyond the problem statement as laid out by the customer and take it to the future requirements (SaaS, On-line sale, Trial Licensing), Revenue Pains (Maintenance Revenue Stream), Cost of Fulfillment, Fulfillment process, Customer Registration etc. and propose for a larger discussion and view-point that gets them to a Professional Services engagementAbility to defend the technical solution against competition as well as customer objections.Installation and Configuration of various versions of Windows Operating System needed for the purpose of validating customer deployment scenarios.Ability to read and debug the programs written by others to help customers make progress in their implementations.Familiarity with ERP concepts.Strong working knowledge in both Unix/Linux and Windows.Familiarity with virtual environments (VMWare or equivalent).Enthusiasm to learn new technologies and to face new challenges and passion to install new OSes/Environments.Good verbal and written communication/presentation skills.Strong Written English is a mandatory skill.Ability to work in a low-structured, independent and fast-paced environment.Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.Ability to learn and integrate new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills at all levels are essential.

Licensures, Certifications: 

None required.  CCNA, MCSE, CISSP or security related certifications are preferred.
